The Bread of Life is an Everlasting Meal

Life, hope, peace, joy, comfort, these are the things that so many seek and all are found in Jesus! In John 6:32-40 Jesus explains how God has given life to the World and that He, Jesus is the bread of that life , the sustenance of all! So many seek power and wealth in this World yet the bread of life is not anything material it is rather spiritual in nature. The life, joy, peace, and comfort we seek can only be found in Him and through Him, and once found it can never be taken away. Oh yes we can surrender it, or lose sight of it, but the promise of life in and through Jesus is eternal. 

So often we struggle with what we see, the bills, the health issues, family challenges and trials of all sorts and the more we focus upon them the more we lose sight of the promises of God. Don’t think by the way that we Pastors have it all together and are not subject to losing sight of these promises, it happens. As a matter of fact I would never trust a leader who says they don’t struggle at times. Each day it seems Deborah and I work through personal, financial, Ministry challenges, and more. The answer is and always will be to trust in the Father, to remember His promises, His faithfulness, and so much more. 

In the end Jesus truly is the very bread of our life, in Him is our Life, Hope, Peace, Joy, and yes especially our Comfort in trying times. My friends He wants us to cry out to Him, to trust Him in our time of distress, to share our hurts, our pains and even our triumphs and victories over them. As the very giver of our life, He has earned the privilege of being involved in every aspect of it, and His involvement always bring Peace and More. Take the time to enjoy Him and partake of His many blessings, promises, the Life He gives freely to all who believe!
